We were up early and planned on having breakfast at 05.30 to keep in the rhythm of the trip, but breakfast was not being served until 07.00.When we arrived at 07.04 there was a queue, but eventually sat down with another couple from the trip-Judi and Ken,good to start establishing some relationships.Ken travelled a lot with work and has cycled quite a bit in Europe.Judi has not.
After our breakfast we cycled out onto the beach front and used the excellent beachside cycle track to give our legs a tune up.A gentle 28 Kms in pleasant sunny weather-the first sun we have seen here.
Arrived back at the hotel and to my great surprise and delight found the Saracens/Leinster match on the TV,not such a little thing.
Following the game we ambled up the road to Subway, ordered our sandwiches and the lady ahead of us gave us a voucher,so we only had to pay for one sandwich, little blessings but they do make one feel so good.
This afternoon we met up with all the cyclists, were given our instructions and shown how the stops will work.Communal dinner tonight,a nights sleep and tomorrow battle will commence!
